Since 1954, Woodgrain is proud to be family owned and operated.Job Summary: The Class A CDL Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a tractor/trailer to transport and deliver Woodgrain products to customers in accordance with company policies, customer requirements, DOT regulations, and applicable laws. This position plays an important role in providing reliable service to Woodgrain customers while ensuring the safe handling and delivery of company products.Duties and Responsibilities:Operate tractor/trailer safely in accordance with Company policies, DOT regulations, and traffic lawsComplete and document pre- and post-trip inspectionsSecure cargo properly before and during transportDeliver products according to assigned routes, schedules, and manifestsOpen and close trailer doors and assist with unloading at customer locationsAssist customers with handling and positioning product as neededScan product tags and inspect products for accuracy and quality during unloadingObtain customer signatures on proof of delivery and submit documentation to the DispatcherOperate and maintain the Mobile Electronic On-Board Recording DevicePromptly report vehicle or equipment issues, product damage, accidents, and traffic violationsMaintain a clean, professional appearanceJob Requirements:High School Diploma or GEDMinimum 21 years of ageCurrent Class A CDLAt least 2 years verifiable tractor trailer commercial driving experience that has been within the past 3 yearsNo more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years and no more than 3 within the past 7 yearsNo DUIs within the last 7 yearsNo reckless driving, speeding 15mph and over, leaving the scene of an accident in the past 3 yearsNo at-fault DOT recordable accidents in the past 3 yearsMust be able to obtain a new DOT certified medical card and pass a WorkWell Physical Abilities test at time of hirePhysical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to press, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to perform duties related to customer stops, that can total 14 or more in a week. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.
