The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including material handling, put-away, pick & pull, and preparing products for shipping & receiving as well as maintaining the warehouse as a safe and orderly work area. Receives product coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other warehouses accurately and promptly Verifies the quantity and description of materials received by checking product against the packing list Examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items. Appropriately report/record any discrepancies Accurately place materials on shelves, in racks or other designated storage areas in an orderly manner Assembles, pulls and fills orders to be shipped to customers, under tight deadlines Preparation of all required shipping documentation Review all orders to determine if they were picked correctly Ensure warehouse/equipment is maintained on a regular basis Safely operate all the necessary equipment in work area Other responsibilities and projects as assigned Requirements Education and Experience: or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the key responsibilities of the job. Accurately identify product by size, type, style, color, or item number Ability to become forklift certified Ability to understand and execute instructions General understanding of the warehouse functions High school diploma or GED preferred Previous Warehouse and distribution experience preferred Physical and Mental Requirements The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
