Payroll Manager

The Payroll Manager is responsible for managing payroll operations for approximately 300-400 employees across the United States and Canada. This role ensures payroll is processed accurately and on time, maintains compliance with payroll tax regulations, and partners with HR and Finance to support employees and business operations. Responsibilities Manage all payroll processing for U.S. and Canadian employees. Ensure payroll is completed accurately and on schedule. Oversee payroll tax filings, year-end reporting, and regulatory compliance. Process employee changes including new hires, promotions, transfers, leaves, and terminations. Review payroll data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly. Serve as the primary contact for employee payroll questions and concerns. Partner with HR, Finance, and external payroll providers to ensure accurate payroll administration. Maintain payroll records and documentation in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. Support payroll audits and month-end reporting activities. Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and increase efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred. 5+ years of payroll experience, including experience processing both U.S. and Canadian payroll. Strong knowledge of payroll taxes, wage and hour laws, and compliance requirements. Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, UKG, Workday, Dayforce, or similar platforms. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
