We have a strong Risk Management team with dedicated individuals that are passionate about what they do and are inspired by the challenges of today We are seeking a Sr Risk Manager to join our team to support our 8 markets by providing insurance and risk management support for our projects. In this role, you will review, and assess contracts and insurance bid reviews, and execute insurance strategies and agreements to protect our people and assets. You can expect to support our business strategy through a programmatic approach to risk management by methodically determining, assessing, and managing our insurance and bond requirements to assist our leadership team in project pursuit and execution. You can tooLocation This position can be based out of one of our major Kiewit Offices in either Omaha, Nebraska; Lenexa, Kansas; Houston or Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas; and Peachtree City, GA; with some expected travel, less than 10% of the time.ResponsibilitiesProvide project insurance contract reviews, insurance and bond requirements, pricing, and other information necessary to assist operational estimating pursuitsAssist with project contract review and negotiations as they relate to insurance and other risk management mattersProvide support by participating in selection of and negotiation with brokers and insurance carriersManage and assist projects with the investigation and settlement of builders' risk, property and equipment claimsGather underwriting information and prepare specifications for insurance renewalsObtain project specific insurance as required by contract, including builders' risk, pollution liability and professional liabilityManage insurance policy extensionsTracking project insurance program dataReviewing and filing insurance policy changesAssist with strategic initiativesSpecial projects as assignedQualificationsBS / BA Undergraduate Degree10 years of multi-line property casualty experience (insurance brokerage, claims adjusting, underwriting or risk management)Experience with Contract reviews, project insurance bid reviews, insurance and bond requirements, and pricing is preferredExperience in selection and negotiation processes with brokers and insurance carriers is preferredEngineering and construction experience is preferredStrong organization, time management and attention to detailProficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically ExcelHigh level of motivation, willingness to learn – a go-getter willing to go the extra mileTeam player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectivesStrong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsHigh level of flexibility and adaptability to changing environmentsAbility to travel as needed for training, broker / carrier meetings, project sites, less than 10% of the timeOther Requirements: Regular, reliable attendance Work productively and meet deadlines timely Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
