Meadow Brook Estate Visitor Services Assistant

Position Purpose Job duties involve serving as a tour docent and museum store employee for Meadow Brook Hall. Candidates will provide enjoyable and meaningful experiences for guests, interpret the Meadow Brook Story, and manage store operations including ticket redemption, merchandise sales, and shelf restocking. Job Duties Conduct guided or stationed tours of Meadow Brook Hall. Provide friendly, engaging, and accurate information to visitors. Redeem tour tickets and assist with visitor check‑in. Sell store merchandise, maintain store appearance, and restock shelves. Ensure a clean and organized store environment during shifts. Assist with special events and support seasonal staffing requirements. Minimum Qualifications Ability to work independently and maintain a professional appearance. Strong communication skills and a positive attitude. Willingness and ability to stand or walk for extended periods. Comfortable speaking to groups, maintaining good eye contact, and a friendly demeanor. Desired Qualifications Availability to work weekends and evenings. Customer service experience. Experience operating and reconciling a cash register. Background or interest in history, art, architecture, or teaching (not required).
