Human Resource Generalist (Columbus)

Description: The Human Resources Generalist requires the individual to be culturally competent, whileworking with a diverse employee population within our health center. The primary role is to help theHuman Resources Director navigate issues on a daily basis and help maintain the compliance of theorganization with local, state, and federal agencies.General Duties and Responsibilities:Help with employee issues and conflicts and bring them to resolutionResearch current salaries across multiple job marketsCreate spreadsheets and reports to deliver to executive management on employee performance, department performance, need for hiring, etc.Maintain and update all locations posters, and compliance materialsHelp to develop coaching and disciplinary action plansAt time, have “hard” discussions with employees while remaining empathetic to each individuals needs but also maintaining the needs of the practice.Help staff supervisors to de-escalate all situations immediately and come up with solutions.Maintain and update the PTO calendar. Ensure approval of all PTO requests.Help to maintain 90 day and annual employee reviews.Maintain all employee records, licensing, and credentials, FMLA short and long-term disability, and liability insurance. Ensure all are up to date.Help to update and maintain the employee handbook as needed with approval from HR Director and In-house Counsel.Update and maintain all employee personnel files.Review employee timecards biweekly and process payroll.Assist the HR Director and Business Director in any and all duties.Help to create and implement employee relations policies to help increase employees’ job satisfactionHelp to manage the staffing process by assisting in recruiting, advertising open positions, reviewing resumes, interviewing, and onboarding.Help to develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities.Ensure all staff are up to date in training courses and send reminders to employees and supervisors when training is overdue.Any additional duties as assigned.Experience:Must have at least 2 years of HR experience.Must have knowledge of a broad range of human resources strategies and practices, including compensation, performance management, safety, hiring and employee relations; ability to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations.Must have experience with analyzing data to guide strategic employment planning.Must have Excel and Word experience to create spreadsheets and documents.Requirements:Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity and collaboration and teamwork.Knowledge of basic computer skills, Excel, and Word.Experience with patient centered care.Punctuality and impeccable attendance.Strong communication skills.Non-judgmental approach to patient careTechnical skills with required office equipment.Patience and great attention to detail.Completely understand the healthcare privacy laws as outlined in HIPAA.LGBTQ+ cultural competency.Ability to work collaboratively in team-based care.Ability to adapt to a work environment that is constantly changing and not always structured.Ability to work in a fast paced and, at times, excited atmosphere.Maintain a professional attitude and demeanor at all times.Ability to multi-task. #J-18808-Ljbffr Central Outreach Wellness Center Llc
