Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced RN to join the Operating Room team on a travel basis. The role requires specialized perioperative skills and flexibility to adapt to different OR environments within a clinical campus setting.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and assist surgical teams during various operative procedures to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Prepare and maintain sterile environments, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.
• Monitor patients' conditions intraoperatively and respond promptly to any changes.
• Document all surgical activities accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to coordinate efficient surgical scheduling and patient care.
• Adhere to all facility policies, safety standards, and dress code requirements, including navy blue scrubs.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license and have at least 2 years of perioperative experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic EMR systems and OR protocols.
• Possess current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Be able to work Monday through Friday with no weekends or holidays required.
• Willing to float to other units if necessary and participate in on-call duties approximately 3-4 times per month.
• Exhibit excellent clinical skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities.
