About the Job You're Considering

The SAP Engagement Manager (Project Manager) is responsible for the successful execution and completion of complex SAP programs, including the orchestration and integration of all OneCapgemini components when SAP serves as the lead Business Line. Project Managers are responsible for overseeing the project/engagement/contract/activity on a daily basis and are responsible for delivering high-quality results within the identified objectives and constraints, ensuring the effective use of the allocated resources. They are responsible for risk and issue management, project/engagement communication and stakeholder management. Project managers perform the activities of planning, organising, securing, monitoring and managing the resources and work necessary to deliver specific project goals and objectives in an effective and efficient way.

Success is defined by delivering the project within committed timelines and financial parameters while achieving stated client outcomes and meeting all quality requirements. This role provides overall leadership across the program lifecycle and ensures the effective integration of Capgemini offerings, capabilities, and delivery teams.

The ideal candidate combines large-scale SAP Project management, executive client relationship management, commercial acumen, and business development capabilities with a proven ability to lead complex transformation programs across global organizations.

Responsible for leading either a large contract/engagement or a definable segment of a very large and complex contract/engagement. Clients may be external or internal. PM are responsible for the translation of the client's complex business requirements into formal agreements. For these, PM establish specific solutions, applications or processes which ultimately culminate in customer acceptance of the results. This includes working with client team members and executives to identify business requirements and subsequently working with, and leading others, in the initiating, planning, controlling, executing and closing the client's solution. PM are responsible for a wide range of process activities beginning with the request for proposal through development, and final delivery.

Your Role

• Lead the successful delivery of client outcomes and project results.
• Manage a primary engagement or client to ensure appropriate focus, governance, and delivery oversight.
• Oversee programs with a total contract value of up to $15 million, monthly revenue of up to $2 million, and teams of up to 100 professionals across limited geographies and capabilities.
• Lead all Capgemini delivery personnel assigned to the program, regardless of geography or capability.
• Serve as the highest point of escalation for Capgemini project and program teams and as the primary client escalation contact for day-to-day delivery matters.
• Drive the full program lifecycle, from initiation through closure, using prescribed Capgemini tools, technologies, methodologies, and governance standards.
• Establish and maintain productive working relationships and an effective operating cadence with client counterparts.
• Share accountability with the assigned Delivery Executive for the financial performance of each program.
• Provide accurate and timely financial information to appropriate client stakeholders in accordance with the Statement of Work and agreements established with the client PMO.
• Translate objectives, scope, milestones, and deliverables defined in the Statement of Work into a comprehensive and actionable program plan.
• Collaborate with the client to validate, adjust, and obtain formal approval of the baseline program plan.
• Actively manage program plans, including progress updates, delivery activities, approved adjustments, change requests, and agreed-upon replanning activities.
• Manage program governance, risks, issues, dependencies, financial performance, resource plans, change control, and executive reporting.
• Participate in client discussions, both in person and remotely, to present proposed solutions, respond to inquiries, and demonstrate Capgemini’s ability to address the client’s business and technology needs.
• Support stakeholder alignment, cross-functional collaboration, and organizational change throughout the program lifecycle.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI, Generative AI, automation, and intelligent delivery capabilities to strengthen program governance, reporting, risk management, and operational efficiency.
• Continuously contribute to the growth, delivery excellence, and strategic priorities of the SAP Business Line.

Your Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field required; master’s degree preferred.
• Proven SAP experience, including a minimum of 9+ years leading complex projects, programs, or PMO functions across multiple workstreams, capabilities, and geographies.
• Proven experience managing large-scale SAP transformation programs, including governance, financial and contractual commitments, resource planning, risk and issue management, change control, and executive reporting.
• Ability to translate Statements of Work, business objectives, milestones, and deliverables into actionable program plans using SAP delivery methodologies and project portfolio management tools.
• Demonstrated success partnering with client executives, business leaders, technology stakeholders, and PMO organizations.
• Strong executive presence with excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, problem-solving, decision-making, and escalation-management skills.
• Action-oriented, self-motivated, and effective in complex, fast-paced delivery environments.
• Experience applying AI, Generative AI, automation, predictive analytics, or intelligent delivery tools to enhance SAP program governance, reporting, risk identification, resource planning, decision-making, process optimization, and delivery quality.
• SAP, PMP, PgMP, Scrum, SAFe, Agile, AI, Generative AI, cloud, automation, or digital transformation certification preferred.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $103,879 - $242,400

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
