Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by APTA.
• Active New Mexico or multistate physical therapy license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience in inpatient and outpatient hospital-based physical therapy preferred.
• Ability to obtain required certifications listed on the client checklist prior to start. Client may require additional certifications.
• Compliance with New Mexico state fingerprinting requirement. Clinical staff must be fingerprinted before hire and provide documentation that the check is being processed. Travelers may start on a 14-day supervised waiver while awaiting results.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in an acute care hospital setting.
• Experience treating stroke, cardiac, and post-surgical orthopedic patients.
• Familiarity with Joint Commission standards and stroke center protocols.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 08:00-17:00.
• Workdays: Monday through Friday. One weekend day per month only if needed; incumbent receives a flex day during the week if required to work a weekend.
• Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays.
