Snap contributes to human progress by empowering people to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world, and have fun together.The Company operates Snapchat , a visual messaging app that enhances your relationships with friends, family, and the world, and Specs Inc. , a wholly-owned subsidiary dedicated to making computing more human, in addition to Bitmoji , Saturn, and other digital services.We're looking for a Content Trends, Associate Producer to join our Content team at Snap Inc!What you'll do:Play a key role in identifying timely, trending, culturally relevant public content and creators on SnapchatCollaborate with fellow Trend Curators and Producers to help Snapchatters stay connected with their local and global communities through fresh, exciting, and informative Snaps.Identify trends emerging creators, tentpoles moments and culturally relevant topics that our community cares about most on a daily basis while also being hyper reactive to new unexpected moments that arise during your shiftIdentify and work with emerging content creatorsSurface timely, trending and fresh publicly submitted contentWork collaboratively with a group of Trend Curators tasked with searching through thousands of snaps to identify tentpole moments, trends, timely conversations and culturally relevant themesReview and moderate submitted Snaps in real timeEngage in ongoing conversations with engineering, moderation, and product teams to communicate and resolve any issues that arise during your shiftKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:An expert in US short from video trends, major pop culture moments and timely tentpole eventsDeep understanding of Gen Alpha, Gen Z and MillennialsA highly motivated teammate who is hyper reactive, proactive and a skilled communicatorOutstanding research and organizational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, and a sharp attention to detailStrong editorial eye and understanding of what makes an engaging piece of contentSomeone up-to-date on pop culture, trends, and current eventsTeamplayer who is kind and respectful of other’s opinionsMinimum Qualifications:BA or BS degree in relevant field1+ years of experience working in digital media, social, or content driven environments (i.e. internet trends, pop culture and hyper timely moments)Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as neededPreferred Qualifications:BA or BS degree in relevant fieldPreferred previous experience at SnapSomeone who has a flexible schedule and the ability to work during nights and weekends, as neededExperience navigating multiple social platforms and demonstrated interest in short form content\"Default Together\" Policy at Snap: At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster, reinforce our values, and serve our community, customers and partners better through dynamic collaboration. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position.
