Senior Cost Accountant | Nashville Area We are working with a growing organization that is looking to add a Senior Cost Accountant to its team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys partnering closely with operations and using financial data to drive better business decisions. What you’ll be doing: Own cost accounting and inventory-related activities for a manufacturing operation Analyze standard vs. actual costs, variances, margins, and product profitability Support inventory valuation, reconciliations, cycle counts, and month-end close Partner with operations to identify cost savings and process improvements Support budgeting, forecasting, and product costing Assist with pricing analysis and new product/project costing Maintain and improve ERP data related to inventory and product costs Provide financial reporting and insights to plant and senior leadership Work cross-functionally to improve profitability, inventory management, and cash flow What we’re looking for: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 3–5 years of cost accounting/manufacturing finance experience Strong understanding of inventory, product costing, and variance analysis ERP experience preferred Strong Excel and analytical skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Comfortable working closely with both finance and operations Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
