Job Description:


The Business Analyst will be responsible for engaging business and client stakeholders to identify, document, and validate the data, metrics, requirements, and specifications needed to automate executive performance dashboards and operational reporting. This role requires a proactive, client-facing analyst who can work independently across multiple stakeholder groups to drive requirements clarity and data collection.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders, client resources, data teams, and project stakeholders to gather dashboard and reporting requirements.
• Identify the data, metrics, definitions, sources, calculations, and business rules required to automate performance measurement reporting.
• Document clear functional requirements, data requirements, specifications, workflows, and acceptance criteria for development and data engineering teams.
• Coordinate with data engineering resources to ensure requirements are complete, actionable, and ready for implementation.
• Facilitate efficient stakeholder meetings to validate requirements, resolve gaps, and confirm data ownership.
• Drive follow-up actions independently to obtain missing information, clarify specifications, and move work forward.
• Support testing, validation, and review of dashboards, reports, and automated metric outputs.
• Maintain strong communication with project leadership regarding progress, blockers, risks, and stakeholder dependencies.

Required Qualifications

• Strong business analysis experience supporting data, reporting, dashboard, analytics, or automation initiatives.
• Excellent client-facing communication, facilitation, interviewing, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements, specifications, data definitions, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience working with data engineers, developers, business stakeholders, and project leadership.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholder inputs and follow-ups.
• Self-starter with the ability to operate independently and drive requirements-gathering activities to completion.
• 5+ years of experience in financial services (large banking institutions), operations, performance management, and regulated enterprise environments.

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting performance measurement, operational metrics, executive reporting, or business intelligence programs.
• Experience with data sourcing, data mapping, metric definitions, lineage, and reporting automation.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, or comparable analytics and delivery tools.
