Sterilization TechnicianThe Sterilization Technician is responsible for keeping the equipment and areas that work is performed on patients in compliance with all occupational health and safety guidelines by conducting thorough cleaning and sterilization of all appliances and working equipment in the practice.Benefits: Hourly wage range of $18-$22 per hour. Full time hours Monday thru Thursday admin hrs. on Fridays, health care coverage, paid holidays, and paid vacation. 401K, uniform allowance, amazing opportunity for bonuses, and more.Essential Job Function:Sets up and prepare dental equipment and instrumentation in accordance with established regulations and guidelines, which includes decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, wrapping and packaging complex sets of instruments for sterilization.Stocks supplies and replenishes sterilization area.Operate and maintain sterilization equipment.Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.Performs all testing based on OSHA standardsKeeps sterilization room in superior condition meeting OSHA standards with 100% accuracy.Maintains accurate OSHA records for all testing and maintenance performed.Collects and prepares disposal of hazardous waste.Helps set up treatment areaPerforms duties within OSHA, HIPAA, healthcare, and orthodontic regulationsOther duties as requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of Orthodontics and associated treatment appliances and equipment usedAction-oriented and taking initiative, being adaptive and flexible in a changing environmentUnderstand and can effectively communicate with other team membersCompassion and high level of service for our patients, parents, and staffIntegrity, always doing the right thingAbility to handle confidential information and protect patient confidentialityDependable, reliable to be at work when scheduledAttention to detailAble to stay organized and follow instructionProfessional manner and appearance at all timesComputer skills: Microsoft office and Web BrowserEducation and Experience:High School Diploma, GED or equivalent1-3 Years Relative Experience
