Service Center Supervisor
Salary Range: $64,000 – $89,000
Shift: 1pm to 11pm

Position Summary
Astyra is recruiting for a Service Center Supervisor on behalf of our client in the transportation and freight industry. This hands-on leadership role supports day-to-day service center operations, oversees employees, and works closely with management to achieve productivity, service, and quality objectives.

The position also supports employee development, training, performance management, and labor relations in a fast-paced, operations-driven environment.

What We're Looking For
We are looking for a hands-on leader who can effectively lead and develop employees, address performance issues, and adapt to changing operational needs. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who is comfortable balancing employee leadership with day-to-day operational priorities.

Experience leading teams in transportation, freight, logistics, distribution, dock operations, or a similar operational environment is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day activities in collaboration with the Service Center management team.
• Monitor productivity, service, and quality results and assist in developing action plans to improve performance.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, coaching, and support to employees.
• Work with management to coordinate hiring and promotion decisions.
• Participate in new hire orientation and conduct safety and quality training.
• Identify employee training and development needs, conduct performance evaluations, and address performance issues.
• Support adherence to applicable labor agreements and assist in addressing employee and labor relations matters.
• Collaborate with Service Center leadership to support overall operational and service objectives.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have LTL experience
• Ability to effectively lead and support employees in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Ability to adapt to changing operational priorities and business needs.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in transportation, freight, logistics, distribution, or a similar operational environment.
• Previous dock operations experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
