Registered Nurse - Inpatient Behavioral Health

Location: Belle Mead, NJ

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, 3 times a week, every other weekend required.

Job Description: The Registered Professional Staff Nurse will provide individualized quality patient care in an inpatient behavioral health facility. This role involves collaboration with the treatment team and requires the assessment of patient needs, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct nursing admission assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Administer medications and treatments accordingly while monitoring their effects.
• Engage in multidisciplinary treatment planning conferences and collaborate with team members.
• Provide age-appropriate education to patients and families, documenting learning opportunities and outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement (PI) activities by collecting data and offering insights on patient care.
• Maintain a safe work and patient care environment, reporting hazards immediately.
• Document patient information accurately and within procedural time limits.
• Participate in the orientation of new staff and assist in the training of students.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in inpatient behavioral health.
• EPIC experience required.
• Active RN license required.
