Own your projects start to finish. $75,000–85,000 + 15% bonus. We'll pay to relocate you.

Established high-end design-build firm. You lead the client from concept to permit-ready drawings, with a design assistant and project managers to help execute the details. And it gets built the way you designed it.

We're looking for the right cultural fit and solid skills we can build on. If you've got 3+ years in kitchen and bath design, we want to talk.

The offer

• $75,000–$85,000 base, plus an annual bonus up to 15%
• Relocation paid — we'll get you to Tallahassee

About Tallahassee

What you'll own:

Design & client leadership

• Lead clients through the full design process for kitchens, bathrooms, and the occasional whole-home remodel or addition
• Present concepts, layouts, and material selections with confidence and clarity
• Guide selections in our showroom and finalize everything before the contract is signed
• Hold a tight, pre-agreed design schedule — typically 6–8 weeks

Technical design

• Develop detailed floor plans, elevations, and construction drawings
• Design cabinetry layouts, lighting plans, plumbing plans, and material specifications
• Deliver code-compliant, permit-ready plans

Initial Project Coordination

• Manage procurement and initial scheduling — your design assistant and project managers execute the POs, ordering, and schedule build
• Support the project manager during construction with design clarifications
• Visit the job site at scheduled milestones, typically 3 times per project

Who this is for

• Not for: designers who only want conceptual or styling work, or who struggle with deadlines, details, and technical documentation.

What you need:

Required:

• 3+ years of interior design experience focused on kitchens and/or baths
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
• Experience with NKBA design standards and general construction standards
• Comfort with design software — we'll train you on our software (Chief Architect, ProKitchen, or 2020 Design). If you're already fluent in one of these or a comparable tool, even better.

Preferred:

• Experience in a design-build remodeling environment
• NKBA certification or similar
• Experience with semi-custom manufactured cabinet lines, especially frameless
• Knowledge of residential construction methods and sequencing
• Showroom sales experience
