Job Description
Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Schedule

12-hour shifts with a rotating schedule between days and nights (7p-7:30a & 7a-7:30p), every other weekend, and every other holiday.

Assignment Details

Guaranteed Hours: 36
Contract Weeks: 13

Requirements

• 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience
• Experience as an OR circulator
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips independently
• Must pass a telemetry test on Day 1 with a score of 85% or higher
• Experience in high-risk obstetrics preferred
• EPIC experience required
• Previous travel experience is required
• Current BLS and NRP certification, with NRP lessons completed and not expiring during the assignment
• Evidence of completing an Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring course, preferably AWHONN
• Preferred: Dysrhythmia/Telemetry interpretation course

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the labor and delivery unit
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs
• Assist in labor management and support patients during delivery
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care
• Educate patients and families about their care and recovery
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives in the unit
