Job Title: Mig Welder Job Description This role involves performing production MIG welding in a manufacturing environment, primarily working on baskets and A-frames. You will use your welding skills and ability to read blueprints or weld symbols to produce high-quality welds that meet established standards. The position requires passing a horizontal MIG welding test and a written test, with potential to start in a laborer capacity while developing welding skills if needed. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on production components such as baskets and A-frames in a manufacturing environment. Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly. Set up, operate, and maintain MIG welding equipment according to safety and quality standards. Use measuring tools such as tape measures to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet specifications. Perform grinding and basic fabrication tasks to prepare and finish welded components. Follow production schedules and meet output targets while maintaining consistent weld quality. Complete and pass a horizontal MIG welding test and a written test as part of the qualification process. Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures and guidelines. Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent production operations. Essential Skills Minimum of 6 months of MIG welding experience. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols. Proficiency in MIG welding in a production or manufacturing setting. Ability to pass a horizontal MIG welding test. Ability to pass a written test related to welding and basic fabrication concepts. Skill in using tape measures and basic measuring tools for accurate layout and verification. Basic math skills to support measuring, layout, and fabrication tasks. Experience with grinding and basic fabrication work. Strong attendance and reliability in previous roles. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with production welding in a manufacturing environment. Comfort working on baskets, A-frames, or similar fabricated structures. Willingness to start in a laborer role while developing welding skills if needed. Ability to follow detailed instructions and quality standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bedford, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.57 - $23.07/hr.
