Stopwatch Urgent Care is hiring a full-time Urgent Care Physician for our Troy clinic. Troy is a welcoming college town in southeast Alabama, home to Troy University, about an hour south of Montgomery with an affordable cost of living.
At a Glance
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience and credentials, time-and-a-half after 40 hours

What You'll Do
Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and episodic conditions. Perform common urgent care procedures, including laceration repair, abscess drainage, splinting, wound care, and DOT physicals. Order and interpret in-house labs and imaging. Prescribe, educate patients, and complete same-day charting in Experity EMR.
How You'll Practice
You are the physician on shift and make your own clinical decisions, backed by established protocols, a dedicated clinic team, and clinical leadership when you need them. Onboarding includes a structured clinical orientation. Schedules are published in advance through a self-scheduling app, and extra shifts are easy to pick up.
Compensation
Competitive hourly rate based on experience and credentials. Productivity incentives are available above base pay. Sign-on bonuses are offered on a case-by-case basis, based on experience and start date. Relocation assistance may also be available.

Qualifications
- MD or DO licensed in Alabama, or eligible for licensure
- Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Internal Medicine
- Current BLS and ACLS
- DOT Medical Examiner certification, or willingness to complete within 6 weeks of start (training provided)
- Urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care experience preferred
