Lead Full-stack Software Engineer (PHP and React)

As a Senior Design Specialist on the Focused-Service & All-Suites Design team, you will report to the Manager Design Renovations. You will work on projects across Hilton's Focused-Service & All-Suites brand portfolio.What you'll do during a typical day:Develop complex PHP applicationsWrite clean, maintainable, and efficient code using PHP ( Laravel, Symfony, or similar frameworks).Develop UI on React. Write clean, reusable, and efficient React code.Collaborate with teams to develop backend features and APIsEnsure consistency to coding standards/procedures and participate in code reviewsEnsure that all solution development is aligned to architectural standards throughout the Agile development processEnsure high availability, performance, and security of web applicationsDemonstrate proficiency in multiple technology stacks in use to code/configure quality solutions that require limited rework and meet business / end-user needs by adhering to the standard methodologiesHow you'll collaborate with others:Work together with the Product, Business, QA, Support team and external partners during daily scrum and schedule meetings.Projects you'll take ownership of:Migrate the current platform to the React framework.Manage current PHP projects involves best practices in technical implementation, and ongoing maintenance.What It Takes to Make the StayYou have these minimum qualifications:Five (5) years of professional work experience in Technology or related fieldFour (4) years of work experience in PHP development, including expertise in one or more PHP frameworksTwo (2) years of development experience in the React.js JavaScript frameworkFour (4) years of experience with relational databases like MySQL or similarKnowledge of RESTful API design and integrationExperience with AWS, Docker, or other cloud technologiesThis is a hybrid role and requires being near our Memphis office locationTravel up to 10%It would be useful if you have:Bachelor's Degree, or Associate's Degree plus 7+ years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12+ years of Technology related experienceSeven (7) + years of professional work experience in Technology or related fieldSix (6) + years of work experience in PHP development, including expertise in one or more PHP frameworkSix (6) + years of work experience in React.js JavaScript framework developmentSix (6) + years of experience with relational databases like MySQL or similarFamiliarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelinesExperience with front-end build tools and bundlersHospitality domain experienceJoin an Award-Winning Workplace Culture At Hilton, we don’t just deliver exceptional experiences for our guests—we build an exceptional workplace for the Team Members who make it all possible.
