This role provides hands-on experience in commercial and agricultural lending while building expertise in credit analysis, risk assessment, and loan origination. Ideal candidates are relationship-focused, analytical, and eager to develop a successful career in commercial and agricultural banking.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport the origination, underwriting, and closing of agricultural and commercial loans while ensuring compliance with Credit Union policies and regulatory requirements.Build relationships with business and agricultural members by providing exceptional service, identifying financial solutions, and supporting business development efforts.Assist with financial analysis, credit underwriting, and loan presentations by evaluating financial statements, cash flow, collateral, and repayment capacity.Partner with lending team members to identify risks, structure loan terms, prepare documentation, and support the loan approval and closing process.Manage member inquiries and maintain strong relationships by providing timely support, resolving issues, and identifying opportunities to deepen member engagement.Support portfolio management activities by monitoring loan performance, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with past-due and problem loan management. Participate in credit training, lending development programs, and hands-on learning opportunities to build expertise in commercial and agricultural lending.Represent FCCU professionally within the community and at business events while contributing to branch growth and member relationship development.QualificationsBachelor 's degree in business, finance, or a related field, economics, agriculture, or four years of relevant experience in lieu of formal education.One year experience in customer service.Strong analytical skills with coursework or exposure to financial statement analysis.Basic understanding of banking regulations and lending principles.Proficiency in Excel.BenefitsWe provide a great benefits package that includes 11 paid federal holidays, 401k match, fully paid single medical, dental and vision, and much more.
