Position: Resident Activities Assistant

Department: SNF/LTCU

Main Location: Marlette , MI

Hours: Casual. Hours may vary.

Aspire Rural Health System is hiring a Resident Activities Assistant. We're looking for individuals with a positive attitude to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals committed to delivering the highest quality of service to both our patients and employees.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• CPR or First Aid Certified 
• CNA certification preferred
• Prior experience with senior adults with dementia and Alzheimer’s preferred
• Prior experience in planning and implementing activities and events preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Activities assistants collaborate with other activity coordinators to schedule, plan and produce events for the residents of the institution for which they work. Specifically, these professionals make decisions about which activities might be most valuable for their audience, then plan each part of the event. They're also responsible for creating a collection of activities that offer different types of stimulation, including those that offer opportunities for mental, physical, social and emotional growth and enjoyment.
