TradeWinds features two destination resorts just 200 flip flops from one another along the gorgeous Gulf Coast on St. Pete Beach.TradeWinds Resort is currently seeking an Payroll and Accounting Specialist, who will play a key role in supporting our team members and overall operations by ensuring accurate payroll processing and contributing to key accounting functions including support for accounts payable and accounts receivable.This position is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys a fast-paced setting, thrives on accuracy, demonstrates initiative, and is eager to collaborate with the accounting team.Process payroll accurately and on schedule in conjunction with Complex Assistant Director of Finance in accordance with company policies and applicable regulationsMaintain payroll records, including earnings, deductions, and tax informationReview timekeeping and payroll reports and resolve discrepancies in a timely mannerReview, troubleshoot, and resolve any errors or inconsistenciesResponsible for monitoring daily time and attendance and coordinating with management across all departments to align time clock record keeping and hours workedProcess and distribute employee tips, commissions, and incentive earnings based on POS reports and departmental submissions; ensure accuracy and timely inclusion in payrollCoordinate with HR on employee payroll needs and record changesResponsible for receiving employee checks, organizing, and distributing to departments in a timely mannerRespond to payroll-related inquiries with professionalism, a sense of urgency, and confidentialityDistribute the daily payroll report to managersMaintain timekeeping and payroll records in compliance with company’s SOPsPerform other duties as requested by managementAccounting Additional Responsibilities:Support accounts payable and receivableProvide general accounting support to the finance team as needed2-5+ years of experience in payroll and/or accounting, including AP and ARExperience utilizing Dayforce, Oracle and Opera preferredExperience processing payroll in a mid- to large-sized organization preferredWorking knowledge of payroll regulations and accounting principlesProficiency in payroll and accounting systems and Microsoft ExcelStrong attention to detail, organization, and time management skillsAbility to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
