Malvern Veterinary Hospital is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Assistant to our team. At our Rarebreed clinic, you can help reimagine the veterinary experience in your community. Malvern Veterinary Hospital has been in business for nearly 100 years. We also have employees who have been with us for over 2 decades and clients for generations. Malvern is a full-services companion animal clinic located in Chester County, PA. Our experienced and enthusiastic team provides the best medical, surgical, and dental care for their patients. Malvern sees dogs, cats, exotics, and wildlife! We are expanding our practice, continually educating ourselves, updating our equipment and learning from our patients.

Veterinary Assistant

$18.00 per hour

What You'll Do

• Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their loved ones
• Keep accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy
• Prepare and maintain the exam rooms and treatment areas
• Perform physical assessments and record your observations
• Prepare estimates for procedures and discusses financial commitments with clients
• Explain necessary follow-up and home care instructions
• Stock clinic treatment area and exam rooms, and inform inventory manager when supplies need to be ordered
• Care for all surgical materials and keep the operating room properly stocked and prepared for surgery

Requirements

• Must be a team player and have compassion for pets and their people
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Must be willing to work evenings
• High school diploma or equivalent
