Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Must have activated clotting time experience Must be experienced in direct fresh open-heart admissions from OR Must have cardiac surgery skills Must have experience in pressure monitoring Must have experience in Swan-Ganz management Must have experience in Impella monitoring Must have experience in CRRT Description: The RN will provide care in the cardiac care unit. They will manage patients with various cardiac conditions. Responsibilities include monitoring patients post open-heart surgery. The RN will be involved in managing specialized equipment. They will administer medications and titrate drips as necessary. The patient-to-nurse ratio will be based on acuity. The RN may float to other units as needed. Experience in handling critical care patients is required. The role involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Strong assessment and decision-making skills are essential. The RN will ensure compliance with protocols and best practices. Documentation of patient care in the electronic medical record is required. This position requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
