Lilith Internships

Lilith offers summer and semester-long internships to college students and recent graduates. Summer interns are expected to commit to at least two afternoons per week in Lilith's New York City office (typically 10 hours per week). School-year internships may be one or two afternoons a week in the Lilith office. A modest stipend of $17/hour is offered.

A Lilith internship includes supervision by senior staff, participation in editorial meetings, and routine office work relating to: digital communications, reader and subscriber engagement; assigning and editing articles; preparing copy for design and print; news coverage of Jewish and feminist interest; manuscript reading; and more. College credit may be available. (Plus excellent snacks, wide-ranging experience, free books and good company!)

• your résumé, including three references (please include reference email addresses and phone numbers);
• a letter telling us why you would like to intern at Lilith;
• two writing sample(s) of no more than 500 words, which may include published articles, material written for a course or a book review you'd like to submit;
• Please label each attached file with your first and last name and the content of the doc. For example, "Emma Goldman, intern resume; Emma Goldman, intern cover letter, Emma Goldman, writing sample 1, etc." Thank you.

We consider applications year-round; currently we are reading applications for fall 2026 (beginning late-August).
