Newborn Hospitalist

Ascension Seton Medical Center in Austin, Texas, is seeking a compassionate Newborn Hospitalist to join its well-established practice. This role offers the opportunity to provide family-centered care for a diverse newborn population within an academic setting, supported by a Level 3 NICU. The position allows for professional growth through QI projects, research, and teaching opportunities with medical students and residents at UT Dell Medical School.

Practice Info

• Well-established practice in central Austin, Texas
• Approximately 5,000 deliveries/year
• Soon to be in a brand-new state-of-the-art tower dedicated to mothers and babies
• Provides family centered care in an academic setting
• Immediate in-house Level 3 NICU support
• Faculty appointment at UT Dell Medical School available

Responsibilities

• Provide care for a diverse population of newborns
• Perform early steps of neonatal resuscitation
• Engage in QI projects
• Conduct research
• Partner with hospital administration
• Teach medical students and residents at UT Dell Medical School
