Yard Laborer

SKILLED LABORER / COLLECTOR - HIGHWAY/SANITATION DIVISION The Town of Natick’s Public Works Department is accepting applications/re­sumes for this position. The candidate will be responsible for curbside collection of trash and recycling, operation of multiple pieces of light and heavy equipment, manual physical labor in roadway maintenance operations, and winter sidewalk snow and ice clearing. This position works under the supervision of a Foreman or General Foreman and offers an entry‑level opportunity to learn to drive CDL vehicles and other medium‑heavy equipment, with growth potential. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Massachusetts Class D Driver’s License; CDL preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months upon hire. Three (3) years of experience in construction, landscaping, building maintenance, or related field. Sign making/line striping experience is a plus. Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work in all weather conditions, and perform physically demanding labor. Familiarity with the operation of light and heavy‑duty equipment. Strong work ethics and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers and the general public. Successfully completing a Cori check and DOT pre‑employment physical including a drug screen. Preferred Qualifications Hoisting license or other relevant certifications. Experience with municipal or public works operations. Perks Paid on‑the‑job training. Work schedule: Monday to Thursday (7 am‑4 pm) and Friday (7 am‑12 pm).
