About the Opportunity The School of Nursing in the Bouvé College of Health Sciences at Northeastern University has developed a research‑intensive, teaching‑learning environment for students and faculty. The faculty are highly qualified, nationally known, and possess a range of experience in nursing practice, research, and education. The goal is to advance the School of Nursing’s position to one of the nation’s top research schools of nursing. Position Open Rank Non‑Tenure Track Faculty (Full time, 52 weeks) for the hybrid Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program located in Charlotte, North Carolina. Anticipated start date: July 2026. The position requires regular on‑campus presence in Charlotte to support program operations, student learning, and collaboration with faculty within the nursing program. The candidate will demonstrate teaching excellence and a commitment to supporting faculty, staff, and student environments. Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and graduate nursing courses in the ABSN program. Engage in scholarship, including research and scholarly writing. Participate in departmental, college, and university service activities. Support and mentor global student populations. Qualifications Possess a terminal degree in Nursing or a related field, or matriculate into a terminal degree program before or immediately following appointment. Evidence of an established area of research and scholarship and teaching excellence. Hold an active, unencumbered license or multistate licensure privilege to practice as a registered nurse in North Carolina by appointment start date. Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence in undergraduate and/or graduate nursing education, with the ability to employ evidence‑based, student‑centered pedagogical strategies that promote clinical judgment, critical thinking, and NCLEX success. Satisfy the North Carolina Board of Nursing requirements to teach in a pre‑licensure nursing program. Current or recent clinical expertise in psychiatric‑mental health nursing, with the ability to deliver engaging, evidence‑based instruction across didactic and simulated learning environments. Experience with online instruction preferred, including proficiency in learning management systems (e.g., Canvas) and the ability to facilitate engaging, high‑quality virtual learning experiences. Pay Range 52‑week Salary Ranges: Assistant Clinical Professor: $84,000.00 - $102,000.00 Associate Clinical Professor: $92,000.00 - $111,000.00 Clinical Professor: $130,000.00 - $145,000.00 With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly‑situated employees already in the role.
