Quick Facts Location: 7 Richland Medical Park Drive, Columbia, SC 29203 Start Date: 08/24/2026 Shift: 24-hour shifts (7:00 AM Saturday – 7:00 AM Monday) Duration: Ongoing assignment Hours/Week: 24 hours/week Employment Type: Contract (W-2) Licenses/Certifications: SC Medical License, BC in Critical Care, PALS, ACLS, BLS, DEA required Experience: Minimum of 1 year in pediatric or critical care settings Pay & Benefits Pay Rate: $5,070 per shift (flat rate, 24 hrs, no overtime) Benefits: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time following federal/local laws Licensure, certification, travel reimbursements, and other applicable expenses What You’ll Do Provide specialized critical care management for pediatric patients in a Level II & III NICU, pediatric unit, and ICU Conduct rounds alongside residents and handle overnight call duties during weekends Manage acute emergencies such as cardiac arrests, respiratory failure, sepsis, and trauma Perform procedures including chest tube insertion, central line placement, ICP evaluations, and hemodialysis Use advanced equipment and EMR systems (Epic) to document patient care Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including radiology, surgery, cardiology, and neurology What You Need Required: Board Certification in Critical Care Medicine Active South Carolina medical license PALS, ACLS, BLS certifications DEA license Minimum of 1 year relevant experience Ability to work 24-hour shifts and handle high-acuity pediatric cases Preferred: Experience in pediatric ICU or emergency settings Flexibility to respond to acute medical and surgical conditions About the Assignment This critical care pediatric physician role is based at a prominent hospital in Columbia, South Carolina, providing emergency and intensive care services for pediatric patients.
