Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct initial patient assessments and intake procedures
2. Collect and document patient health histories
3. Perform preliminary physical examinations and vital signs checks
4. Coordinate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
5. Educate patients about their treatment plans and next steps
6. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information
7. Identify and respond to patient needs and concerns
8. Assist in the development and implementation of admission protocols
9. Prepare patients for further diagnostic tests or procedures
10. Maintain compliance with regulatory and institutional policies
11. Facilitate communication between patients and medical staff
12. Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families
13. Participate in continuing education to stay current with nursing practices

Qualifications:

1. Current nurse license in the state of AL
2. Proven experience in admissions coordination or a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
3. Strong organizational and administrative skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
4. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to offer compassion and support to patients and their families.
5. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
6. Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards related to admissions is preferred.
