PERM Director of Nursing

Job Title: Director of Nursing Services (DON)

Full-Time | Exempt | 40 Hours/Week
Salary: $125,000–$150,000 annually

Position Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing Services (DON) to provide clinical leadership and oversee nursing operations within a highly rated skilled nursing center. This is a visible, hands-on leadership role focused on clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, quality outcomes, staff development, and person-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee all nursing services and clinical operations.
• Ensure compliance with Massachusetts and federal regulations and survey requirements.
• Drive quality assurance, performance improvement, and infection prevention initiatives.
• Oversee resident assessments, care planning, documentation, and clinical outcomes.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, recruitment, retention, and staff development.
• Promote a culture of dignity, resident satisfaction, and person-centered care.
• Collaborate with physicians, families, residents, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Develop and maintain nursing policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
• Manage departmental budgets and resources.
• Provide clinical support and leadership as needed.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in Massachusetts .
• BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 5 years of nursing leadership experience in skilled nursing or long-term care.
• Prior Director of Nursing experience required.
• Strong knowledge of Massachusetts long-term care regulations and survey processes.
• Proven experience with staff leadership, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience leading interdisciplinary teams and managing budgets.
