Description

American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for a night shift assignment requiring 3+ years of recent PACU experience and Level I or II Trauma Hospital background.

Details

• PACU unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Minimum of 10 days on-call required
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required in hand
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH certifications via AHA required
• Minimum 3 years of recent PACU surgery experience required
• Level I or II Trauma Hospital experience required
• Must be able to circulate
• Epic EMR experience required
• Degree from an accredited school required, or a degree from an FBON-approved institution plus 2 years of recent, consecutive acute care experience within a US hospital in the past 24 months
• Successful completion of a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening required, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks and abuse registry review

Additional Information

• Provide perianesthesia nursing care in the PACU
• Smoke-free facility
• Local candidates accepted within a 60-mile radius at a lower pay rate
• Former Broward Health employees must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates from Operation Nightingale schools are not accepted
• Must complete a basic arrhythmia assessment with a passing score of 100% on lethal rhythms and at least 83% on all other sections
