Primary Job Skill Technical Skills: Contract Negotiation, Customer Service, Information Technology Professional Skills: Attention to Detail, Interpreting Data, Time Management, Verbal Communication, Written Communication Overview The Office of Contracts and Acquisitions (OCA) is housed within the Office of Legal and Acquisition Services and is responsible for creating agreements, overseeing acquisitions, and ensuring compliance with federal and state laws for ODJFS. Responsibilities Review, analyze, evaluate, and approve requests for acquisition of IT hardware, software, education, consulting services, and maintenance for ODJFS, CDJFS, Children Services Boards, and CSEAs. Provide IT procurement assistance for IT projects with large numbers of technical variables. Analyze IT requests for merit, cost effectiveness, agency utilization, and strategic plan consistency. Review and approve requisitions in OhioBuys for IT-related purchases from DAS and ODJFS administered contracts. Research IT trends and innovations and advise leadership on leveraging them for operational improvements.
