RF/Microwave Engineering Team MemberAn exciting opportunity exists for a college graduate to join our RF/Microwave Engineering Team at Raytheon. These departments develop, design, test and manufacture compound semiconductor devices, microwave/millimeter-wave integrated circuits, and modules for defense applications.We research, develop, design, and integrate electrical (Analog, Power, RF/Microwave, and Digital) components, embedded and digital signal processing software, equipment, systems, sub-systems, and networks for the defense of domestic and foreign purposes. As member of our team you'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of systems and equipment from receivers, exciters and processing electronics and communications systems that support multiple Radar programs. Some of the programs our department supports include Global Patriot and Early Warning Systems.The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical design and development, an eagerness to learn, the ability to work 100% onsite and collaboratively with a team, and an interest in complex, real-time, critical systems.This position is an onsite role in Tewksbury, MA, Andover, MA, or Marlborough, MA.What You Will DoPerform fixtured and on-wafer probe measurementsAssemble RF/microwave/millimeter-wave test systemsUse software to control test equipment and plot test resultsSupport the MMIC and module design teamsIntegration and test of Digital, Analog, and RF components and modules.Circuit analysis, circuit simulation, design documentation maintenance, trade assessments for obsolescence resolution, troubleshooting and resolution of hardware performance issues and hardware integration, test and verification.Work as part of a team to analyze Hardware / Firmware test requirements / specifications to determine Hardware and Firmware requirements.Develop solutions to test issues and develop productivity and efficiency enhancements.Interact with test technicians, factory facilitators, operations managers, other engineers, Quality Assurance and Reliability personnel.Design of RF microwave components and phased array applicationsIntegration and test of component level and system level phased array hardwareWhat You Will LearnRF/Microwave device, MMIC, and module characterization techniques, including using spectrum analyzers, Real-time Spectrum Analyzers (RSAs), Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs) and Performance Network Analyzer (PNAs)Test system set-upSoftware such as Python, Labview, Keysight ADS, HFSS, Cadence Virtuoso, MATLAB, CST, Mentor Graphics' Expedition, AutoCAD, TCAD, C++, Java, JMPData analysis techniquesQualifications You Must HaveBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.Experience/coursework in one or more of the following: RF/microwave, Analog, Digital Electronics, Circuit Design or Analysis, Electrical Components, ElectromagneticsQualifications We PreferLab experience specific to RF/microwave device and circuit measurementsKnowledge of electrical circuit design, analysis and troubleshooting using common lab equipment.Experience with any of the following software: Python, Labview, Keysight ADS, HFSS, Cadence Virtuoso, MATLAB, CST, Mentor Graphics' Expedition, AutoCAD, TCAD, C++, Java, JMPGood written and oral communication skillsLearn More & Apply Now!
