Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Travel Contract

Position Details

• Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Location: Syracuse, NY
• Shift: Days
• Schedule: 5 Shifts per Week
• Hours: 8-Hour Shifts (Varies by Unit)
• Open Position: 1

Units You'll Support

• Emergency Department (ED)
• Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg)
• Pediatrics (Peds Float Pool)

Scheduling Requirements

• ED & Med/Surg: 6 x 12-hour shifts every two weeks
• Pediatrics Float Pool: 4 x 8-hour shifts and 4 x 12-hour shifts every two weeks
• Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
• Obtain and document vital signs.
• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of the nursing team.
• Serve as a patient safety companion when assigned.
• Maintain accurate patient records and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Promote a safe, compassionate, and patient-centered environment.
• Follow infection control and quality care standards.

Qualifications

✔ Current New York State CNA Certification
✔ Current BLS Certification
✔ Minimum 1 year of patient care experience
✔ Acute Care experience preferred
✔ Successful completion of pre-employment health screening
✔ Strong communication and teamwork skills
