POSITION: Full-Time, Salary (to be discussed in interview)

SUMMARY:

Nackard Bottling Company, the family-owned exclusive Pepsi distributor serving northern Arizona, is seeking a Space Planning & Sales Leader based in Flagstaff. This role sits at the intersection of category management and sales execution, owning the development and maintenance of retail sets and planograms across the full Nackard portfolio. The Space Planning & Sales Leader reports directly to the Director of Sales and serves as a key driver of how Nackard products are merchandised, positioned, and grown across every channel we serve.

SCHEDULE:

  • This job is Monday – Friday
  • Full-Time, 40 hours/week

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage space management and set integrity
  • Build, optimize, and update planograms that maximize shelf productivity, support new item introductions, and reflect category and consumer trends.
  • Translate sales data, distribution priorities, and partner brand strategy into actionable sets that field teams can execute consistently
  • Work closely with merchandising, delivery, and account teams to ensure sets are not just designed well, but executed and maintained at retail
  • Support total Nackard sales across new business development, retail, and food service
  • Prepare and present business reviews and business proposals to internal leadership and external customers, using data to identify opportunities, defend shelf space, and win new points of distribution
  • Possess strong analytical skills are essential — the ability to turn syndicated data, scan results, and internal reporting into a clear, persuasive story that moves the business forward
  • Exhibit a blend of category management discipline and sales instinct, with experience in beverage distribution, DSD, or CPG strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with planogram software (such as JDA/Blue Yonder or ProSpace), Excel, and presentation tools
  • Communication skills to influence at every level from store manager to ownership
  • Ownership over both the strategy and the execution of how Nackard wins at the shelf

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer skills required:
    • Planogram software (JDA/Blue Yonder or ProSpace)
    • Spreadsheet Software (Excel)
    • Order Processing Systems (VIP)
    • Word Processing Software (Word)
    • Electronic Mail Software (Outlook)
    • Presentation software (PowerPoint)
  • Other skills required :

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
