Title: RN Emergency Room

Location: Bedford, IN 47421

Duration: 12 Weeks

Shift: Nights – 3x12 Hours (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)

• Every 3rd Weekend Required
• Block schedules are not available
• Local candidates are not accepted

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience (1.5 years may be considered for screening)
• Active Indiana RN License (or compact license, if applicable)
• Current BLS , ACLS , and PALS certifications
• TNCC preferred
• Previous Charge Nurse experience preferred
• Experience in a General Emergency Department (Adult & Pediatric)
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Travel experience not required
• COVID-19 vaccine not required

Description:

• Provide emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in a busy Critical Access Hospital Emergency Department.
• Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, and prioritize care for emergency conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize dysrhythmias, and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications, blood products, IV sedation, vasopressors, and procedural sedation as indicated.
• Perform IV starts, phlebotomy, and central line care while maintaining patient safety.
• Care for patients with respiratory emergencies, neurological conditions (including CVA), and other acute illnesses and injuries.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality emergency care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow infection control and patient safety protocols.
