Job Description The Field Service Technician II will perform functions related to product readiness for patient utilization on a wide range of rental and customer owned medical devices. In addition to the repair work, the FST II is also responsible for ensuring the same product readiness for patient utilization on a wide range of rental and customer owned medical devices. This position requires operating a fleet vehicle safely as well as directly communicating with customers. The technician also provides 24/7 delivery, removal and service support for products in service centres and customer accounts in a timely, professional manner. Your team: Baxter field service team works within hospitals and service‑setting environments to repair medical devices. What You'll Do: Perform electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic system troubleshooting and repair of assigned products. Troubleshoot devices and repair malfunctioning components. Use appropriate tools to make required adjustments and repairs. Provide on‑call coverage up to 24/7, including weekends and holidays, which may require customer‑account visits. Load, unload, and remove medical products weighing up to 1,680 pounds. Generate service revenue and complete required activities under service contracts. Safely operate a box truck vehicle or company car ranging in size from a cargo van up to a 26,000‑pound truck. What You'll Bring: Must be at least 21 years of age. High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Basic mathematical skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Preferred Qualifications Technical or trade‑school training. DOT physical card (assistance is provided). Experience with FDA‑regulated products. Experience in customer service. Safety Requirements Adhere to Hill‑Rom safety procedures. Wear personal protective equipment, including safety shoes, eye protection, gloves, and protective clothing. All equipment is provided. Frequently work in environments where biohazards may be present (hospitals, service centres, depots). Benefits Baxter offers comprehensive compensation and benefits packages for eligible roles. The salary range for this position is $41,600–$57,200.
