Area Sales Manager – Hire Products

Role

My client is looking to recruit an Area Sales Manager to cover the South central region. This is a field-based sales role focused on promoting a wide range of non-mechanical hire and site solutions such as scaffolding products, perimeter fencing, tubes and fixings. You will be responsible for managing and developing accounts across main contractors, subcontractors, developers, merchants, hire distributors. The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time on the road visiting customers, generating new business and growing existing relationships.

My client is a market-leading supplier within the access, scaffolding and safety sector, with a strong national presence. They are part of a larger international group and have built an excellent reputation for product quality, service and reliability within the construction industry. This is a business with strong infrastructure, recognised branding and genuine long-term career prospects.

The Person

My client is looking for a hungry, tenacious and high-calibre field sales professional. You may currently be selling construction products, hire solutions, building materials or any product sold into site environments. Product background is flexible, but previous external sales experience is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will be energetic, commercially aware and capable of both winning new business and developing existing accounts. You will need to be relationship-led, self-motivated and ready to hit the ground running.
