BayCare Clinic Orthopedics and Sports Medicine is looking for a Medical Assistant / CNA to join our team in Green Bay, WI. We're looking for a compassionate, thoughtful candidate who wants to contribute to a positive experience for all our patients. The typical hours for this role are Monday-Friday from 7:30am-5:00pm. No holidays! No weekends!

We are a physician-owned entity with joint ownership in Aurora BayCare Medical Center, a 167-bed hospital located in Green Bay, WI, offering us a built-in referral base. The job:

• Assists practitioners with patients; escorting patients to rooms, taking vital signs, and the patient teaching as directed by a physician.
• May assist nursing staff in admitting patients in the pre-operative area.
• Informs nursing staff of any patient concerns.
• May assist in the post-operative execution of physician orders.
• Assists physician with treatment of patients such as: handling of instruments, tube changes, dressing changes, clip removal, removing sutures, etc.
• Assists with surgery and/or procedures as requested.
• Schedules required tests.
• Talks with patients regarding scheduled tests and test results as indicated from charts after review by physician.
• Answers minor medical problem questions for patients.
• Makes telephone calls to patients regarding physician orders and/or prescription medications ordered by the physician.
• Stocks appropriate medical and drug supplies.
• Assists in routine cleaning of patient rooms, waiting areas, and maintains accurate cleaning logs.
• Accurately documents all care provided to the patient and in the patient's medical record.

The requirements:

• A valid MA certification is preferred.
• 1 year of experience required, general surgery experience helpful but not required.
• EPIC experience desired.
• Candidate will be a dedicated and compassionate individual who enjoys working in a fast paced, versatile environment with the willingness to learn.
