Performs preventive maintenance, quality assurance inspections, installation, testing, calibration, troubleshooting, repair, and general maintenance on one or more categories of specialized biomedical, imaging equipment, clinical data/network systems, and related technologies.**Job Duties*** Completes the preventive maintenance (PM) workload to achieve a consistently high level of PM compliance over time.* Provides safety checks, repairs, and installations of biomedical and communications equipment. 15%* Identifies and obtains supplies and other materials required to service, maintain, and repair equipment at the lowest possible cost.* Establishes and maintains supporting technical literature such as manufacturer's literature, references standards, specifications, and other documents necessary for supporting the biomedical program.* Ensures that the biomedical equipment is in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and quality control standards.* Makes effective presentations to small groups of peers to ensure staff remains up to date on new trends.* Provides in-service and training on biomedical equipment and electrical safety.**Minimum Qualifications*** Associate's Degree Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields or* High School Diploma/GED along with 5 years of progressive experience in performing direct component-level repair and maintenance on both general and model-specific equipment in the medical imaging field will be considered in lieu of degree.* 2 years progressive experience in performing direct component level repair and maintenance on both general and model-specific equipment in the medical imaging field.* Knowledge of state-of-the-art electronic and test equipment, quality assurance procedures, and preventive maintenance procedures.* Knowledge of source, use, and applications of alternative parts providers as related to electronic or electromechanical equipment.* Knowledge of advanced troubleshooting techniques.* Knowledge of computer software-based work order tracking systems.* Ability to use vendor-supplied service documentation, technical manuals, and general electronics industry parts specification materials in order to test, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair assigned equipment and related systems.* Ability to work well in a team environment and to be self motivated and self disciplined.* Effectively deals with multiple and changing priorities.* Must be able to visit multiple business locations.
