Permanent - Urgent Care Physician - Virginia, MN Position Overview
- Setting: Outpatient Urgent Care
- Status: Permanent
- FTE Options: 0.6 to 1.0 FTE
- 1.0 FTE = 4 shifts/week
- 0.8 FTE = 3 shifts/week
- 0.6 FTE = 2-3 shifts/week (Benefits eligible at 0.6 FTE)
- Shift Length:
- Weekdays: 10-11 hours
- Weekends: 7-8 hours
- Clinic Hours:
- Weekdays: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Weekends: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Call: None
- Weekends: Approx. every 3rd weekend
- Calendar: Set 3-6 months in advance
- Patient Volume: 35-70 patients per day
- Staffing per Shift:
- 1 MD
- 1 Credentialed Practitioner
- 1 RN
- 1-2 Clinical Assistants
- Case Types:
- Walk-in acute care for adults & pediatrics
- Respiratory illness, minor trauma
- Suturing, I&D, splinting, foreign body removal
- Musculoskeletal injuries
- Non-life-threatening trauma
- Workers' compensation
- Support: Excellent access to specialists and ancillary services
- Team: Collegial and experienced clinical staff
- Board Certification/Eligibility:
- Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
- Certifications:
- Current BLS - Required
- Skills Desired:
- Critical thinking and multitasking
- Team-based care focus
- Comfort with procedures (suturing, splinting)
- Leadership interest a plus
- Compensation: Competitive - inquire for details
