Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Location

Odessa, TX | Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-level nursing care on a newly opened PCU unit, with anticipated care of ICU-level patients
• Care for Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, PCU, and/or critical care patients across varying acuity levels
• Maintain patient ratios of 6:1 for MS/Tele and 2:1 for critical care assignments
• Float to MS/Tele, PCU, or critical care areas as needed based on census
• Must be willing to obtain TNCC/TCAR certification within 30 days of start date

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a PCU, IMC/Stepdown, or ICU setting
• High-level PCU or ICU background strongly required for this role
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (local candidates are not accepted)
• Must be available to start no later than October 20th (October 6th start date preferred)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner electronic health records system
• Current TNCC or TCAR certification, or willingness to obtain within 30 days of start
• Background managing mixed-acuity patient populations including critical care
