Data Center Technician – Ellendale, ND (Relocation Required)

About the Role

We are seeking a Data Center Technician to support a cutting-edge infrastructure project in Ellendale, North Dakota. This role is ideal for hands-on professionals with experience in cabling, fiber optics, and data center operations who are excited to work at the forefront of AI and cloud computing technologies.

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have Qualifications

• Cable Management & Electrical Safety
  • Hands-on experience with structured cabling, cable bundling standards, and EM shielding
  • Knowledge of electrical safety practices; NFPA 70E familiarity preferred
  • Experience with power balancing and safe cable routing
• Fiber Optics Expertise
  • Understanding of fiber optic types and connector standards
  • Experience with fiber testing, cleaning, and scoping
• Ticketing & Administrative Skills
  • Experience using ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, etc.)
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Break/Fix Support
  • Basic hardware troubleshooting and part replacement
  • Understanding of ESD protocols and safe handling practices
• Networking Fundamentals
  • Familiarity with network topology and basic networking terminology
  • No advanced troubleshooting or CLI experience required

Additional Desired Knowledge

• 3-Phase Power
  • General understanding of 3-phase power systems and data center power distribution

Contract Details

• Duration: 6 months to 1 year (contract-to-hire opportunity)
• Relocation Sign-On Bonus:
  • $2,500 (short-distance move)
  • $5,000 (long-distance move)

Compensation & Perks

• Per diem: $25/day (on working days)
• Paid lodging provided
• Rental car included for transportation

Location Requirement

This position is based onsite in Ellendale, North Dakota . Candidates must be willing to relocate for the duration of the contract, with potential for permanent hire.

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
