Base pay: $70,000–$100,000/year depending on experience — plus company truck and bonuses

Maven Group is a commercial concrete subcontractor based in Chattanooga. Since 2014 we've grown from three people to a team of more than 60, self-performing footings, slab on grade, and site concrete — curb, sidewalk, bollards, and paving — on commercial projects across multiple states. What this job actually is

This is not a job about pouring concrete — it's about making sure the right concrete gets poured at the right time by the right people, and that everyone knows what's happening before, during, and after. In a typical week you'll manage several jobs at once, some close and some hours away. A lot of that managing happens by phone, video, and daily log review, not by standing on every site every day.

The technical concrete knowledge is manageable. What separates a great superintendent here is verification — verifying the crew, the materials, the scope, and the schedule on every job, every time. The jobs that go sideways in this business fail on coordination, not on concrete.

What you'll do

•      Run multiple commercial concrete jobs at once, coordinating crews, materials, equipment, and schedule

•      Keep a consistent weekly rhythm: daily logs, foreman check-ins, material verification, budget recaps

•      Read commercial construction drawings and catch scope and constructability issues before they hit the field

•      Partner with your project engineer to make sure everything needed on a job is ordered correctly and on time

•      Lead and develop your foremen — direction, coaching, and accountability

•      Verify inspections are scheduled, scope changes are documented, and change orders are captured before the work happens

•      Keep general contractors and subcontractors informed, and represent Maven Group professionally on every site

What we're looking for

We hire superintendents across experience levels, so not every candidate will check every box the same way. What matters:

•      Experience running commercial concrete work — whether you're a proven superintendent, or a strong lead or foreman ready to step up

•      Ability to read and work from commercial construction drawings

•      A track record of managing several crews or jobs at the same time

•      Strong, disciplined communication and documentation habits

•      Comfortable using project-management and field time-tracking software (or a fast learner who will)

•      Willing to travel regionally — typically 2–3 days a week, with some jobs several hours out

•      Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (a company truck comes with the role)

A plus, but not required: multi-state project experience, exposure to estimating, and bilingual English/Spanish.

Compensation and benefits

•      Base pay of $70,000–$100,000 per year , based on your experience — with room above that for an exceptional, proven superintendent
