Responsible for managing the lifecycle of the infrastructure and optimizing to improve stability, minimize incidents and response times, while reducing costs.Position Summary/Job Description:Design and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure to support Best Buy applications and services.Implement best practices for cloud security, monitoring, and performance optimization.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud solutions into existing systems.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.Stay updated with AWS services, features, and industry trends to recommend improvements.Skills Overview:What are the top five skills and number of years of experience required to perform this job?8+ years of proven experience as a cloud engineer with a focus on AWS.5+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.5+ years of experience with Configuration Management such as Chef and Ansible.Strong understanding of networking, security, and scalability concepts in cloud environments.In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, etc.Effective collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for cloud related incidents and emergencies.What are some preferred/nice to have skills the manager is looking for?Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as AWS CloudWatch/Splunk.Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for CICD pipelines.Familiarity with agile methodologies and software development life cycle (SDLC).AWS certification (e.g AWS solution architect).Interview Process Overview:Group and team fit with proper mindset interview.
