We are a distribution company with approximately 50 employees and a reputation built on quality, reliability, and long-term customer relationships. We are seeking a hands-on Warehouse Lead to help drive daily warehouse operations and inventory accuracy within our 30,000-square-foot facility.

Position Summary

This is a working lead position, not a supervisory desk role. The Warehouse Lead will spend 100% of their time on the warehouse floor, actively participating in receiving, picking, packing, shipping, loading, unloading, inventory management, and forklift operation. The ideal candidate leads by example, takes ownership of inventory accuracy, and is comfortable working with warehouse systems to ensure inventory counts and transactions remain accurate.

With the recent implementation of a new inventory management system, this role will play a key part in maintaining inventory integrity through cycle counts, quantity adjustments, and accurate transaction processing.

Responsibilities

• Perform all daily warehouse functions including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management.
• Fulfill and process approximately 25–50 customer orders per day with a focus on accuracy and on-time delivery.
• Operate forklifts to move, stage, load, and unload inventory throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload 26-foot box trucks containing up to 9–10 pallets.
• Maintain accurate inventory records within the company's inventory management system.
• Perform cycle counts, inventory audits, quantity updates, and inventory adjustments as needed.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies to ensure system accuracy.
• Verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Organize inventory locations and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.
• Utilize pallet jacks, hand trucks, dollies, and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
• Partner with management to improve warehouse organization, inventory controls, and operational efficiency.
• Serve as a go-to resource for warehouse operations while leading through hands-on participation and accountability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience.
• Previous experience in a lead warehouse, inventory control, or senior warehouse associate role preferred.
• Strong forklift experience required.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, or inventory software.
• Solid understanding of inventory control, cycle counting, and inventory reconciliation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of warehouse operations.
• Reliable, organized, and willing to roll up your sleeves in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout the workday.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, dollies, and other warehouse equipment.
• Comfortable working in a 30,000-square-foot warehouse environment.
