Elementary Education Teacher

As an Elementary Education teacher at Ashton-Franklin Center Elementary School, you will be responsible for delivering engaging instruction in core subjects, fostering a positive classroom environment, and supporting the academic and social development of students.

Plan and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with state curriculum standards. Instruct students in core subjects and develop foundational academic skills. Assess and evaluate students' progress through tests, assignments, and classroom participation. Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment. Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities. Utilize technology and interactive materials to enhance learning Manage classroom behavior and encourage positive social interactions Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and concerns Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and school administration Participate in professional development and continuing education

Per the Ashton-Franklin Center CUSD 275 Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The base salary for teachers is $42,264.89 (plus TRS and health insurance benefits, as agreed upon by the AFC Education Association and the Board of Education) Twelve (12) sick days per year.
