Treasury Analyst

Chiquita is looking for a dedicated Treasury Analyst to join our Treasury team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling payments and ensuring smooth financial operations. We are seeking someone detail-oriented and reliable who can efficiently manage various tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Process weekly and monthly payment runs through the Treasury Management System, including payment submission, approval coordination, and confirmation of successful debit with banking partners.
• Process manual payments at bank portal and vendor's portal and approval coordination.
• Manage account funding and initiate fund transfers to ensure adequate liquidity and timely payment execution.
• Monitor and resolve payment exceptions, returned payments, and other payment-related issues by coordinating with banks, Accounts Payable, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage and follow up on outstanding checks, ensuring timely resolution and accurate reporting.
• Record treasury transactions, including foreign exchange transactions, in the ERP system on a weekly basis and in accordance with accounting requirements.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations, investigate variances, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of cash transactions and account balances.
• Prepare monthly reports related to bank charges, interest income/expense, and other treasury-related activities.
• Participate in treasury-related projects, process improvement initiatives, and automation efforts to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risk.

Experience & Education Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience in finance, preferably in treasury operations, banking, accounts payables, credit collections, or cash application.
• Proficiency in Excel and strong general computer skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong multitasking skills with keen attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and perform under pressure.
• Excellent organizational abilities.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred but not mandatory.

Job Environment:

• Majority of tasks are performed in a temperature-controlled office setting.
• Extended periods of sitting at a desk or computer terminal.
• Use of calculators, keyboards, telephones, and other standard office equipment.
• Occasional stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching required to complete job duties.

This position requires satisfactory passing of a drug test in accordance with Florida Statute § 440.102.
